Fallers

We are seeking experienced hand fallers to join our team in fire contracting services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in timber falling, with a preference for those who have worked in fire-related environments.

Option 1: At least 3,000 hours of experience in production timber falling. Candidates with this experience will be considered, but may need additional training in fire-related falling techniques to meet our safety and operational standards.

Option 2: Hold a FAL-1 certification from the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) and have documentation of at least 3,000 hours of experience working as a FAL-1 on fire assignments. 

  • Excellent physical fitness and stamina, given the demanding nature of the work.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to our specific procedures and fire management objectives.


    We are also open to training the right candidate.
    Responsibilities:

    • Safely and efficiently fell trees to support fire management objectives, such as creating firebreaks, reducing fuel loads, or other fire suppression activities.
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including those specific to working in fire environments, ensuring personal and team safety.
    • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals, often under adverse conditions and tight timelines.
    • Maintain and care for equipment, ensuring it is in safe working condition and ready for use in fire operations.

Wildland Firefighters & Consultants

Wildland Firefighters 

We are looking for experienced wildland firefighters with burn qualifications to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of single resource boss qualifications and extensive experience in fire management.

Requirements

  • Must hold at least one burn boss certification (e.g., Prescribed Fire Burn Boss Type 3 (RXB3) or Type 2 (RXB2) from NWCG).
  • At least 10 years of experience in wildland fire management.
  • Preference for candidates with agency experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fire suppression and plan/execute prescribed burns.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Train and mentor team members.

Consultants Position

We need foresters with a fire ecology specialty to consult on post-fire timber sales. The ideal candidate will have:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field.
  • Registered Forester certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in fire ecology and timber sales.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree.
  • Agency experience.
